Madeline Watson
You’ve already taken an incredibly brave step by being here. Seeking support often comes after carrying pain, confusion, or exhaustion for far too long—and you deserve a space where all of that can be met with care and understanding. You may have survived things that left lasting marks, and yet, some part of you still hopes for peace, connection, and purpose.
My role is to walk beside you—not to fix or judge—but to help you feel safe enough to explore what hurts, what’s heavy, and what’s ready to heal. Together, we’ll move at your pace toward the goals that matter most to you. Our work will be about more than just learning coping skills; it’s about rediscovering your voice, your agency, and your ability to create meaningful change and freedom in your life.
My approach is person centered and strengths-based, which means that the therapeutic relationship isat the heart of the work we do together and your individual needs, strengths, and preferences are honored and guide the therapeutic process. We will likely spend some time focusing on cultivating self-compassion and curiosity throughout the process, as this will support you in creating space for learning, growth, and change.
Specific modalities I utilize include CBT, DBT, and EMDR.I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS).
I received my Master’s degree in counseling from Northwestern University and have worked in various settings in community mental health for the last eight years. My education and training is grounded in psychodynamic theory and I remain engaged in ongoing education, both to develop my skills as a clinician and to research intersections of healing and transformative justice as a PhD student at Southwestern University.
